Study: Teens who text and drive likely to engage in other risky behaviors

(Cleveland, OH)  --  A new study finds teens who text while driving may also be more likely to engage in other risky behaviors behind the wheel.  Researchers at the Centers for Disease Control surveyed more than 8,500 teens.  Almost half of them reported texting while driving within the past 30 days.  These students were also more likely to drink and drive, ride with a driver who had been drinking and fail to wear a seatbelt.  The study can be found in the journal "Pediatrics."
